OPI Fall 2020: Milan
Global destinations have always served as a source of inspiration for OPI’s Color Collections. For Fall 2020: Milan, we reimagined what that could look like by focusing on the essence of the city itself.
Milan is known for its Art and Fashion. But where do these artists get their inspiration from? For this Collection, we leaned into a version of the persona of a Muse - a woman who engages with the city and absorbs all the beauty from it, then gives it back to the world. To bring our Muse to life, we cast a Milanese influencer, Daniela Zuccotti, and collaborated with her on the vision for our shoot. Daniela’s ties to creativity are multi-faceted and round out the year of art for the brand. She’s a Creative Director, a fashion blogger, and a style influencer.
The BTS style creative helped tie the collection back to Milan as well as nod toward the fashion roots of OPI.
Working with Daniela we learned what the colors of the Collection represented to her - the past, self reflection, and the future – and used those themes as guidance for the Art Direction of the campaign. The result is a beautiful blend of old world and new, the unexpected, and an elevated expression of JOY.
